Harrogate
As part of a house extension and wholesale re-planning of the grounds, we worked with Peter Plaskitt Design, ArchitectureAB and Lizzie Tulip Garden Design to deliver a new oak framed garage and a contemporary oak framed pergola for a large residence on the outskirts of Harrogate.
The gardens were fully remodelled to include a new sweeping driveway leading through the landscaping to an imposing new two storey oak framed garage. Working closely with our architect, the traditional green oak frame was hand crafted to exacting standards. From the ground floor garage, an oak and iron staircase leads up to the first floor, revealing an impressive leisure and entertainment lounge with custom bar area. The beauty of the oak frame is set off with carefully concealed lighting and large areas of floor-to-roof glazing, providing fantastic elevated views of the house and gardens.
The grounds were fully redesigned by Lizzie Tulip and include an ultra contemporary oak framed pergola to provide a magnificent setting for the owners to enjoy their home. For added comfort, we fitted a glazed roof and two glazed sides which offer protection from the elements.
This was one of those cherished opportunities to demonstrate our lifetime of knowledge and traditional skills working with green oak in order to deliver something exceptionally special for a most discerning and appreciative client.
