We created this oak orangery-style garden room to extend our clients' kitchen into a light and open-plan living space with dining and relaxed seating. The adjoining oak veranda provides a practical log store, covered porch area and a beautiful link between the house and garden.
We were contacted by the client just outside the Yorkshire market town of Wetherby, regarding the construction of an oak framed orangery to extend the rear of their property in to a spacious living area.
We worked with an architectural designer to come up with a proposal which not only gave our clients the traditional green oak orangery they were looking but with the versality of a modern garden room and added outdoor space of an oak framed veranda with part-glazed roof. The plans also addressed the layout of the rooms adjacent to the proposed new kitchen, enabling them to use the property to its full potential.
Our design was then successfully submitted for planning permission. We managed the project from the ground up, incorporating builders, plumbers, electricians and roofers, along with our own team of professional green oak framers and joiners.
The end result provides our client with a light and spacious oak framed kitchen extension that the whole family can use to cook, eat and relax, whilst enjoying a great view of their landscaped garden.
